This layout was made totally by me, but I obviously didn't draw the picture. That'd probably be Yazawa Ai, creator of NANA. Featured in this layout is none other than Osaki Nana herself. The image can be found in the NANA 1st Illustrations art book. The layout was made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. The font is just Impact, which came with my computer. :P And, of course, this blog is powered by the omnipotent WordPress. <3 It is strongly recommended that you view this page in the latest version of FireFox. I use PNG-24 format, so if the image transparency looks all messed up, it's your own fault.

well, that was interesting. we went mini-golfing at the same place we go mini-golfing every single time we go mini-golfing. i could probably describe each and every one of the eighteen holes. our scores were pretty close. in fact, we were all one point away from each other. i got second place. of course, we cheated like mad all the way through.

after golf, we went to a movie. we went to the cheap theatre and saw juwanna mann. i think that's how you spell it. anyway, it was interesting. i thought the movie was going to be really horrible, but it was okay. it wasn't all that bad, but it was tolerably enjoyable. (is tolerably even a word?) i guess it was bad because the whole man-dressing-up-as-a-woman-and-becomes-a-better-person story has been done several times. and i hate basketball. but the fact that it was mostly women's basketball made it okay. ;) burg made me go. jodi was indifferent. oh well, it was only two dollars.

i'm going to go write some music now, or something. or maybe finish my special mix of la soldier.

    fun.

so i'm sitting here sipping a grape jones soda, bored to tears. *sigh*

interesting news for anyone who owns a dot-org domain.

i feel that this applies to me because the domain i have picked out is a dot-org domain. still, i wasn't exactly planning on running a for-profit dot-org domain. it says costs might go down for them though. i'm impatient, so i probably won't wait around for that to happen. this might mean that dot-org domains will become increasingly popular, which means less available domain names. i guess now is a good time to get a dot-org domain. or maybe it's all in my head.

    look at that, it's late.

kley just said the most interesting thing. we're talking about cosplaying, among many things.

me: i'm considering getting a good tan (using a cancer bed, probably x_x) so i could be akio *_*
kley: I'm going as Utena at my next con if you go to that con *.*
kley: and dgee will be ANthy *.*
me: dg would be a great anthy *_*
    kley: or OMG
    me: or? *_*
    kley: I could be SHIT
(this is the part where i totally lost it.)
    me: …
    me: ew o_o
    kley: what's her name
    kley: arg arg arg
    kley: touga's sister
kley: and just be reallllllly scared when I saw you two
    me: nanami?
    kley: YES *_*
kley: because pooor nanami witnessed evil sexual brother and sister acts

quoting kley, she's going to be "SHIT". i'd sure love to see that costume. my face hurts from smiling/laughing too much tonight. and no, i'm not barbie, kita! *sigh* poor kley.

i spent most of the day yesterday at my friend jodi's house. she's the one that asked me to her grad not long ago. we've been very good friends for about three years now. she's been involved in some stuff this past while that isn't exactly all that great (can you tell i'm trying to be vague?). her parents found out about everything she's been doing. they're making her move to california. good ol' l.a., to be exact. she's moving in with her oldest sibling and only (non-adopted) brother who's married and everything. just fyi, she has a pretty big family. she has five (older) natural siblings and five (younger) adopted siblings. she's going to california willingly, and the only real factor that she doesn't like is that she doesn't know when she's coming back. burg says she's running away from her problems (what a supportive friend) but i don't really see it that way. if she stays, she'll continue down this unstable path. she was going to be moving to lethbridge. she was registered for lethbridge community college. she had a place right across the street from the college and everything. it's really a shame she has to change all those plans.

she leaves on thursday. her airplane takes off at 7:15 in the morning from calgary international airport. i wish i could go with her, but she's only going with her parents and some of the younger siblings that have to come along. i'm really, really going to miss her. i could be off working or studying in ontario, for all i know, a few years down the road. i might not see her again for a very long time. she has guaranteed this upcoming christmas for me though. even her parents confirmed that she will definitely be up for that.

what did i do yesterday? i was invited to her "going away" dinner, or whatever. her entire family got together for that (except her brother who's thousands of miles away, of course). then jodi and i talked for a while in her room. just random chit-chat. i was then invited to part two of the family get together. in their family, it's a tradition to have a get together and share feelings, and stuff, when one of their children leaves home. it was…more emotional than i thought it would be. i won't really put what was said here, but after that i just wanted to hold my jodi tight and never let go. ;_; so then we decided to go outside and talk a little bit more. without shoes, we played frisbee with the little kids in the front yard as the sun set (those kids were up pretty late, now that i think about it). we decided that we would play dominoes (which i had never won), a few of us, and then call it a night. most games that were played were jodi, her mom, two of her older sisters, and myself. i won my first game ever. it was great. after that, jodi's brother called and jodi and her parents talked to him (which took a long time). it was about 11:30 by the time i got home. i spent a good half-a-day there.

it's a shame, too, because i only talked to jodi once on the phone today. she had to go and said she'd call me back. she didn't. that's okay though. tomorrow we might go see the bourne identity at the one and only theatre in this strange town. they show one (occasionally two) movies per week and change it every friday. this week is a movie i already saw and didn't really like. joy. but jodi wants to see it (who know why) and i most likely will see it with her just because she wants to and it's something to do with her.

while surfing around, i did that mash game that i haven't played since grade four.

    You live in [an] Apartment.
    You're married to Jodi.
    You drive a Corvette.
Your car is the color Yellow.
You live in the [province] Ontario.
    Your honeymoon is Italy.
Your occupation is a CG Special Effects Animator.
You have this many kids: 4 (0 male; 4 female).

i did the same thing again, and i like these results better (even though i do want a yellow corvette, i can honestly live with a black one):

    You live in a House.
    You're married to Jodi.
    You drive a Corvette.
Your car is the color Black.
You live in the [province] British Columbia.
    Your honeymoon is Japan.
Your occupation is a CG Cartoon Animator.
You have this many kids: 1 (1 male; 0 female).

notice jodi is on both of them. is this a sign?

meat, potatoes, corn, everything. that's what's on the stove right now. i used to hate this meal, but after being away from home so long, i can't wait until it's ready.

    i'm not a meat-and-potatoes-guy, by the way.

my grandma is torturing my cat; i can hear her. excuse me while i make a rescue.

i am at mom's. interesting how my mom likes to do all her shopping when i'm around. i swear, we went to about a dozen different stores. she took me to burger king though, so i'm happy. i guess. i had a really gross chicken whopper though. i'll never be eating that again…

i totally forgot to go to the bank today. we were all over the place, it was really hot out, and i was just wanting to get home as soon as possible. she bought me strawberry pocky, too. i wanted to eat it on the way home, but it was melting by the time that happened. so i had pink, goopy pocky, while pouting, on the way home. :(

    stupid dial-ups.

hmm, maybe my site will work today. if not, i'll be complaining promptly on my livejournal.
