people don't really seem to get how i'm spending my christmas break. let me spell it out plainly.

week one: grandparents' house. no internet.
week two: mother's house. has internet.
week three: grandparents' house. no internet.

tomorrow will be the beginning of week three. i'm kind of excited, though, because all the cards and gifts people sent to me in the mail was sent to my grandparents' house. *_*

i finally finished a new layout. what do you think? :D i found that infamous bedsheet bulge image on my mom's computer and just had to make a layout out of it. >:D all worship fushigi yuugi.

i bought the third austin powers movie today. i don't know why, but the part where it looks like austin is giving birth to mini-me makes me laugh hysterically every time (so hard i can barely sit up straight and i usually end up on the floor). we - my sister and i - also rented panic room for later. my mom's still at work and we'll watch it when she gets back.

one month until my birthday; all of you had better start shopping now. :B

i forgot to mention that i passed geography!! with a c-!!! isn't that shocking!? O_O

now, if you do a bit of math, 49.4% is my overall average. each test was weighted equally, according to the course outline. someone tell me how a 49% is a c-. o_o so i guess my geography prof was a saint after all. ;_; she was so nice, too. she had the coolest accent (she's from the carribean, or something…maybe jamaica).

i'm going to the mall now (like every insane and stupid canadian on boxing day) and when i get back, there had better be more people online. >:O!!!!!!

happy boxing day. o_o

yesterday was rather busy. i woke up at 7:30 (my little sister is so nice to wake everyone up then) and opened my presents while half-asleep.

after that, i went back to bed and slept into the afternoon. x_x i got up, did whatever, ate christmas dinner, and then we decided to take my uncle (who lives alone) a plate. he lives in calgary, which is an hour and a half south of red deer (where i am now). we stayed and visited until almost midnight and then went home.

on both the trip there and the trip back i read a bit of one of the books i got for christmas (this book is one of the two things i asked for): the demon in the freezer by richard preston. reading in the car isn't exactly the most desirable thing for a person to do (especially at night…good thing i had a flashlight, which didn't make things any easier considering the book is hardcover [but i love hardcover books :D]). preston's writing style has changed ever so slightly since his last book, the cobra event, which is fiction. demon isn't, as far as i know, so that might make sense. nevertheless, i love this guy's writing. i even love the type in which all his books are written; consequently, every passing word is enjoyable. i think i'm going to re-read the cobra event after i finish this one. and i don't often re-read books.

my sister is watching shirley temple movies. time to listen to mp3s with headphones on.

i just read that and laughed. of course i derive sick pleasure out of other people's pain and suffering, but i just couldn't help myself. vampires. hehe. attacking catholic priests and an aid group is really out of hand…but in a funny way because it's not happening to me or anyone i know. :D

i'm getting sick (not only in the mind) and my throat is really sore. i'm glad my nose isn't that stuffed, though. jodi was sick before i left (she's up for christmas, did i mention that? *_*) and she got burg really sick. correction: burg got herself sick after drinking out of jodi's water bottle. i swear, it's a foreign california virus that i'm not even close to immune to. ;_; yes, i am blowing things out of proportion.

i must make a new blog layout now. *_* let's see if i remember how to work paint shop pro 7. x_x i'm so used to adobe photoshop (6 and 7). oh well.

i keep remembering all these things i wanted to post…

why haven't i received anything in the mail!? >:O

i know it takes longer to send stuff to canada from the states, but burg is getting christmas cards from people…and she lives in the middle of no where while i check my stupid post office box every day (in one of the larger towns in southern alberta, too) and i get nothing.

so i'll be receiving everything all at once, hopefully, when i get back to my grandma's. *sigh* :(

but i'm glad that my secret santa person got their present. >_>; hopefully it won't cause her too much pain. <_<;;;;;

and for crying outloud people, GET ON AIM. ;_;

i'd like to thank everyone that entertained me by sending me text messages while i was away. that was so nice of you. and i especially enjoyed how hammy kept me posted about her day-to-day life via text message. that was special. really.

i have been deprived of emoticons for way too long. i had to get that out of my system. :B

so i'm in red deer now. i arrived at my mom's last night. it's so good being home. ;_; her computer still has gross dial-up aol…but after more than a week of nothing, i think i can cope.

speaking of being internetless…

yeah, i hate it when that happens. lucky for me, about 95% of all that was spam. or email i didn't feel like reading (stupid boring mailing lists).

ohh, i have a little microphone. and a decent version of AIM. and fun music software. ohh, i'm going to do some music now after seeing who's online at 10:36 monday morning. :D
