i am so pathetic.

i am so going through internet withdrawl.

i am so going to die if i don't sit inches in front of a cathode ray tube, and fast. (oh wait, i guess tv counts, too.)

i feel like i've suddenly been transported tot he middle ages with no sign of advanced technology to be within reach for a couple of centuries. help.

hopefully, i'll be able to post this at my mom's house.

work is…interesting. my life really sucks, you know. -_-;;; i get up at freaking 6:30 in the morning, work until 5:30 pm, get home, eat and shower (in no particular order), watch a bit a lot of tv, then go to bed. someone whisk me away from my ever-so-exciting life. and i just found out that i'm only making $8.50/hr. -_- could be worse, but i wish it was better. i can't wait until i start working at 6:00 am next week, too. that's going to be so fun!!

if you've forgotten what i do at work, i'm part of the hired local workers for an american company which is restoring a large, old building made of white stone which isn't in great shape anymore. the stone is cracked and discolored. most of what i do is clean the walls with different chemicals, some of which are really powerful. it's actually pretty boring…in a really annoying way. i'm so (annoyingly) bored that i've come up with dumb names for things (that i keep to myself). like what i call a special technique of applying, scrubbing, and spraying off acide: the viluy system. actually, i pronounce it "biryui shisutemu" (ビリュイシステム). i have so much to say.

i left on friday last week for my new job. my grandma called me that same morning (afternoon, actually) telling me that i started the next morning. i had only a few minutes to get my stuff together before my grandpa arrived to pick me up (let alone time to blog about me leaving). this is the first time i've even had the chance to use a computer since then.

i'm at the public library in this wonderful town in which i went to high school. when our isp went out of business (and we had several other isp problems) i came here. i checked the fringe on this very computer. i went through super moonatic candidacy on these computers.

they're pieces of crap, actually. the computers themselves are pretty slow. don't get me started on the connection. but i'll take whatever i can get now, i suppose.

this job is really hard. -_- i haven't lifted so much stuff (or as heavy of stuff) in all my life. i have more bruises than i have ever had. they're green and black and cover about 30% of my legs. X_x

omg, emoticons. ;_; i miss them. ;_; i make shifty eyes in real life all the time though. >_> it's true. <_<

anyway, we finally started using chemicals to wash the stone on the outside of this building. the work isn't so bad, really, just really tedious. and i work from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. burg says that's illegal, but it's only a ten-hour day. what's stupid is that i don't know how much i'm getting paid yet. if it's minimum wage i'm quitting. -_-;;;

i'm having a hard time convincing my mom to let me have her computer. i feel really bad. she kind of needs it (i think) for work. actually, i really don't know if she does. i doubt it. my sister uses it, though, and it's pretty selfish of me to ask for it. :( can't i be emotionless for just one summer? >_> maybe i will be. <_< shiftyshifty. >_> so maybe i have to save up for one. i don't want to do that. $_$ but i really want to be addicted to the internet with you people again, so i guess i have to do anything.

i slept in really late today. X_x i stayed up too late last night, so i guess the only one to blame is myself.

i don't even bother setting my alarm clock anymore. the same two roommates argue in the afternoon and evening like clockwork. today it was about painting walls and cd cases. that's one thing i won't miss when i move out in less than a week. the immaturity.

i'm hungry. everything's closed on campus. i don't have cash. i really don't want to dip into my matrix money, either. :( let's see…food or the matrix…

the food might not even be real. then again, the movie may not even be real either. if we were in something resembling the matrix, do you really think its creators would allow a film to be made proving our reality to be false? i tend to think not, so i think it's safe to say that our reality isn't the matrix, so if i buy food, it's real. buying food would not be in vain.

you'd think a person that's going to be without internet access for an unknown period of time would spend more time on the internet before leaving. it's been quite the opposite, in fact. i barely have time to read all the messages in my email these days.

i've seen the entire sixth season of the x-files since i last blogged. hala went and bought the sixth season dvd box set and we've been watching them practically every day since. the day she bought it, we watched ten episodes (i'm not estimating here, either). we were up until six in the morning. it was exhausting, but exciting. i think the best quotes of the show happened in season six. strangely, my two favorites are about fire. i'm such a pyro.

enough about the x-files, i must talk about my wonderful morning (in which i will go into more detail than i probably should).

i got a call yesterday morning from my grandma telling me that i should come to cardston (the town i used to live in that my grandparents still live in) and apply for a job involving cleaning (with chemicals and stuff? o_O) the outside of one of the main buildings in town. an american company is hiring people. and it's a ten-second walk from my grandparents' house. and i'm sure they pay pretty good. my grandma wanted me to come into town like…yesterday. well, i kind of had plans so i had to say no. so my grandpa picked me up this morning at seveninthefreakingmorning so i could go "apply" for this job.

so i went. the town is 45 minutes south of lethbridge. pretty far, if you ask me. we went directly to the temporary office of these people and i talked to the guy in charge. just…all of a sudden. o_o thank goodness he knew my grandpa, so that got my foot in the door. x_x and…he hired me right there. o_o i start any time between wednesday and monday next week.

what sucks is that there's no computer at my grandparents' house, of course. ;_; i can't live without that. i just can't. the job is all summer long. (i really look forward to cleaning walls day after day for several months. -_-) but my mom said if i move in with my grandparents (she was trying to get me to do that for the summer), she'd send her computer (my computer *_*) and hook up the internet and all that stuff. but i told her no. and now things have changed, so i hope the offer still stands. X_x

ohohoh, tonight we went to see x2 (i can't believe that's the official movie title o_o). i'm really pissed over one tiny little thing, but if i say anything it'll be a spoiler. oh, who am i kidding? it's a huge thing that happens near the end. -_- when it happened i was like "grrr -_-" for the rest of the movie. but whatever. the third one better continue with where the second left off at the very, very end. i'll be really mad if they don't.

i forgot about my nao takagi uranus and teary hikari ono drawings that is scanned in.

don't call me obsessed. i know that already. :P but yeah, i got bored and decided to try out my crappy drawing skills i was supposed to learn in art class. looks like my skills are still crappy, but only satisfyingly.

okay, so i need to talk about movies. yesterday was the first day hala and i didn't watch anything related to the x-files. she did, however, gave some money to her brother so he could buy season six on dvd. so the day wasn't completely x-files-less. i shall talk about other movies, though.

12 monkeys- for once i just wanted to sit at home quietly and watch a movie yesterday. someone in the house (i don't know which roommate) owns 12 monkeys, so i started watched it for the first time. a guy came over to work on our upstairs bathroom (directly across the hallway from my room). when he started using a saw, i had to turn it off. so i muffled my ears with a pillow and managed to take a nap, surprisingly. i woke up and decided to continue watching. return of the saw. -_- so i just got fed up and left. i only finished watching it today. a messed up movie, but well-made.

four weddings and a funeral- instead of the x-files, we watched this. :D hala has some thing for hugh grant. it was an interesting movie. it makes you think about relationships in general. well, it did for me.

the matrix reloaded- no, i did not go to see this. hala and i wanted to go get advance tickets, if we could, but we couldn't. so that was the end of that. we're thinking of going to calgary to see it in a decent theatre, but i really can't afford that right now, so we'll see how much it's going to cost. slim chance i'll be going. oh well. i just want to see the movie; i don't care where at this point.

ocean's eleven- i'm watching it right now. :D

vanilla sky- we're going to watch that next. i'm not too looking forward to it, but i don't care. it could be worse. i usually don't mind watching movies i don't like for the sake of being social. :D
