i had to work the noon to close shift at work today. we closed early at six, and it was a feeding frenzy, let me tell you. and i had to do something special and i had to wonder into another department to put some stuff back on shelves, and i swear…like ten people asked me where something was. everything from glue to seafood sauce. o_O i don't know where any of this stuff is, of course. x_x at least no one asked me where the cool whip was. i get that so much. people on the other end of the store keep telling people there's cool whip on our end. there is none. >:O freaks.

and i'd also like to say that extreme uno is very, very evil. it'll probably be in my nightmares, in fact.

there was a package for me at the post office! so i got my secret santa present today!! i love my secret santa! ;_; they sent me so much fun stuff! and i'm glad i didn't get that $1.00 pregnancy test, by the way. i don't know what my friends and family would think of me if i had that. o_O but thank you so much! *smoochies* i laughed really hard at that baby thing. x_x i'll take very good care of it. and i'm eating the fun hamburger candy! it's not that gross…i've had it before! :) ketchup chips aren't gross either. >:P i'm so sending you some now. a very small bag. >:P

we never did make it to lethbridge to see return of the king. why? because they're still sold out several days in advance!! what is that!? still!? i can understand for opening night and maybe a few days after that, but i think it's so dumb that i have to get tickets for this stupid movie three days in advance if i even want to see it. -_- good thing we called beforehand before we went into the city in futility.

my mom and sister are gone. :( they left the computer and n64 here, though. >_> i haven't played n64 in a long time. it feels almost as old school as super nintendo. *_*

the night before last was freaky movie night. we rented misery. does anyone remember that movie? it's an old one…i guess you could call it horror. kathy (or is it cathy?) bates plays a crazy psychopathic woman who's obsessed with a particular author and his books. it's a pretty good movie and you should see it. @_@;

and then my mom and i (and my sister watched most of it, too X_X) watched battle royale. >_>;;;;; my mom thought it was weird, but she didn't say she didn't like it. she thought it was interesting. my siser…i don't want to know. she should be watching that anyway. we went to bed after that…and apparently my mom had a br-related nightmare. x_X in her dream she was mitsuko and she had to kill my sister and i with her sickle X_X!!! what an awful dream.

did everyone watch world idol? >_> it was on last night for us, i don't know about everywhere else. it kind of sucks that you can't vote for your own person, but it makes sense considering everyone from canada would vote for ryan, and same goes for every other country. i voted for the guy from norway with the toothy grin. my uncle and i were both overly impressed by him. even though my uncle loved the belgian guy who sang nirvana, we came to the conclusion that we should vote for the norwegian. so we did. :)

it's so embarassing that zack (the canadian judge who we've all grown to love x_x) gave kelly clarkson such bad comments. did anyone else notice how simon was being overly mean? x_x "are you going to win? no." but i'm sure simon telling zack off either made a lot of canadians mad or a lot of canadians happy (whether they considered it an attack against our country or an attack against a prick who deserves it).

i did not like the australian guy's version of that song. he sings well, he looks like an idol, but that version of that song was way too pop for my liking. some songs just aren't ever meant to be that pop…

and was dicko one of the judges that gave ryan semi-bad comments? *kicks him* poor ryan was so mad at simon, though.

the one person i did not like was the british guy. and it made me so mad that simon and the british judge were all praising him. the song that he sang wasn't that good. simon is such a hypocrite for judging everyone else very harshly based on their one performance, and then they were like "you're so good because you have four number one singles and everyone just knows you're good blah blah blah" to the british guy. -_-;;;

we should have gotten together and been like "okay, matt, i'll vote for the australian guy if you vote for the canadian guy >:D" or "okay, kley, i'll vote for the american girl if you vote for the canadian guy >:D" or "maggie, i'll vote for the polish girl if you go back to poland just to vote for the canadian guy >:D".

i don't know if i can wait almost a week to find out who won. x_x;

the usual: got lots of stuff for christmas. gave lots of stuff for christmas. ate pig like a pig. and turkey. lots of turkey. x_x;;;

and my mom brought her computer, so yay. *_* i'm using it now. *_* i find my webcam installation software, though. x_x but at least we can voice chat if we want. :)

i have lots of stuff i want to buy. it's boxing day; it's a strange urge brought on by radiowaves transmitted by the canadian government telling people to buy buy buy.

so i'm going to buy buy buy later. and maybe rent rent rent a movie. tomorrow we'll be going going going into lethbridge to watch watch watch return of the king. i can't wait wait wait.

um, the comments aren't changing. o_O i don't know why people keep asking me to change them. O_o that's going to be the layout for them. i don't have to look at them because i can check through the b2 control panel thingy here, not that i'd need to since comments are emailed to me. but that's what my comments look like. just about everyone else is keeping the generic b2 comments template, what's wrong with keeping something i made? :( i really like how it looks, and it is fairly neutral…it doesn't clash with any layout, really. it may not compliment, sometimes, but whatever.

want to know something? i'm sick. :) just in time for christmas!!! isn't that great!? second year in a row this has happened!! i just got over that freaking cold, and not even a month later, i have a sore phlegmy throat and a stuffy nose. again. it pisses me off very much.

of course i still go to work and cough all over the bread and meat and salads and pizzas cheeses and all the stuff i make. it's great. okay, i don't do that. i don't really cough that much, and i don't do it all over the food. today i had to cut cheese for the first time. o_o he gave me the one that no one wanted to do. -_- danish blue cheese. -_-;;; man, did that smell. the bacteria culture is still alive in this cheese, so you have to wear gloves and not touch anything after you've touched that cheese (especially other kinds of cheese X_X). and, yes, i do think it's amusing that the first time i "cut the cheese" it stank really bad. *dies* i so know where they got that phrase now.

i only work until noon tomorrow. *_* and i found out i get a christmas bonus. *_* i get paid for working christmas day. the store is closed on christmas day. but we get paid for it anyway. *_* and we also get a box of cookies. how special is that? thank goodness they're the kind that we don't bake. i think i'd rather commit suicide than make the entire store's christmas cookie bonus.

tonight i am going to a fun party-type thing at the high school for us unmarried freaks who haven't moved away to become full-time baby factories. it's like a huge pity party! yeah. >_>; there's going to be pizza, even though i just ate supper, and games, and maybe volleyball again. and then who knows what. it better be fun, because i'm dragging several people to it that are home for christmas. >:O if not, we'll just leave and find something to do, i'm sure.

first: i've been a good girl…

second: i spent hours yesterday on the government of canada website. i wasn't just looking around there for fun, either. i needed to look some stuff up. i can't put my finger on what it is, but there's something fundamentally wrong with how they have their site organized. it might be the navigation, but i didn't really have any problems with that. maybe it's because there's a lot of information (most of which goes totally over my head) and finding what you want is kind of…weird. wading through loads of useless information in the justice, human resources, and treasury board sections was really fun, though. -_- yeah. -_-; i think i found what i was looking for, but i think i'll end up calling 1-800-o-canada, or something like that, and ask if i could talk to someone from human resources. x_x and if you're wondering, i'm trying to find a way to change the name on my social insurance card without having any official, original, applicable documentation. it's like trying to return items to a store without a receipt. x_x;;;

third: i got your card in the mail yesterday, lbeth. you're as much of a dork as i am. :P it'll do your heart good to know that i didn't get you anything involving hello kitty for christmas, but i did get you something pink. :)
