okay, going to that cannery place wasn't so bad. @_@ we did vegetable soup, actually. there were so many people there to volunteer, and it wasn't like…slave driving or anything. everything worked like a huge assembly line. i had to start off by taking the eyes out of peeled potatoes, which was easy. after they got the whole mix done up they got the canning machine up and running. basically, soup cans came in on a little conveyer belt and went onto this rotating circle with holes in it…and there was a can in each hole. and all i had to do was put the final product into the holes/cans…then people weighed it and put hot water in it. then it all got sealed, but i had nothing to do with that. and then we ate lunch (they fed us tacos! @_@ really good ones @_@) and then we labeled and packaged everything, which also involved some elaborate machine thingy. my job for that one, though, was the very, very end of the line…the guy taking the final box full of cans and stacking them. it was pretty good, especially since there were like…dozens of people there. even people that i knew from our community. so…yeah…

here's where it gets sappy. just because i decided to do some service project thing, i'm not expecting to find a wife or the woman of my dreams in exchange for my time. i think it's funny how some people think that's how it works. (confused about what i'm talking about here? it's okay, you don't need to know.)

moving right along…mambo italiano was so gay. (literally.) i didn't realize it was a canadian movie, either, for some weird reason. i mean…come on…mary walsh is in it. a canadian comedic genius, in my opinion. yeah, i don't know where my brain went. i want to see school of rock still, though. and i saw a commercial for schindler's list coming to dvd. *_*

it's saturday and there's nothing on tv which makes me really bored and i'm just really bored in general and i have no idea what i'm going to do but i think i'm going to go get something to eat and that'll occupy my time to have something to eat because i don't know what else i'm going to do since i'm really bored in general but more particularily i'm really bored with what's on tv because there's nothing on since it's saturday.
