This layout was made totally by me, but I obviously didn't draw the picture. That'd probably be Yazawa Ai, creator of NANA. Featured in this layout is none other than Osaki Nana herself. The image can be found in the NANA 1st Illustrations art book. The layout was made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. The font is just Impact, which came with my computer. :P And, of course, this blog is powered by the omnipotent WordPress. <3 It is strongly recommended that you view this page in the latest version of FireFox. I use PNG-24 format, so if the image transparency looks all messed up, it's your own fault.

    Posted in: Blog, Canadian Idol

did i mention that i seriously hurt myself the other day by jumping off a swing onto gravel and falling on my arm and knee? no? well, i did. and i have scabs all over. and my knee is itching so badly, and i really want to pick it. which is really weird because i'm not a scab picker at all. i think scab picking is so gross. people who do it are weird. and, yes, i mean you.

i just watched that link jbeth posted on her blog a while back. i haven't watched any of those flash animations in, like, over a year. and i'm glad they have speech bubbles because i still don't have sound. but, omg, jbeth, that was so funny!!! even without sound! >D

canadian idol is getting interesting. yesterday was part one of the let's-cut-155-people-down-to-32-people episodes. they're down to, like, 80 now. next week we'll have our top 32, i'm guessing. i can't wait. i'm already attached to, like, three people. i really love this one girl from saskatchewan. *_*;;; i really think she's good enough to go far. *_*;;; of course i always have my favourites that never even make it into the top 32, and i'm hoping she's not one of them. and the other main guy i really like is from medicine hat, alberta. which is, like, an hour away from me. i have a feeling he's going to be like billy kippert was for me last year. i really loved him at first, he was from alberta, but i ended up really not liking him at all by the end of the show. but at least billy got third place and is coming out with an album so far.

ugh, i'm going through a political party crisis!! -_-; i got a pamphlet in the mail for our ndp candidate the other day. her name is melanee thomas. she was the students' union president at the university of lethbridge in my second year there (for some reason i thought she was president for my first year there, but i guess i have a bad memory, or something). there's things in the pamphlet i really, really agree with. things involving the environment are somewhat big with me, and i really didn't have any idea the ndp was such a big supporter of environmental issues moreso than everyone else. well, besides the green party, but they're nobodys anyway.

and this person is from my school, is a fresh graduate, and most likely knows exactly what post-secondary students are going through, particularily with rising tuition costs. that's actually my number one concern, and it's something that no one is really outlining in their campaigns, sadly. i just love the fact that i can relate to someone who's running now instead of just voting for the party. and, frankly, the ndp isn't exactly the best party to vote for. at least, not for me. but i'm starting to think that this candidate is my best bet.

besides, i'm bound to disagree with something in every party's platform. they're not all going to fit my values perfectly. and, honestly, i'm rather ashamed to say that i was wrong about the ndp. i'm actually starting to warm up to them quite a bit.

the conservatives will win in my riding, there's no doubt about it. i mean, come on. rural southern alberta here. people around here are big-time supporters of losers like preston manning and king ralph. oh, man, do they believe. they've heard the conservative word, and can't get over it.

reading melanee's blog, however, is making me wonder about the actual people in lethbridge, though. the city of lethbridge is in my riding. there's tons of left-wing voters in that city, actually. the liberal candidate used to be the alberta liberal party leader. he was an mla from lethbridge. lethbridge people voted liberal. go figure. so if they did that, there may still be hope that they'll vote for a party under the right-wing umbrella. will that be enough to balance out the hundreds upon thousands of conservative party supporting drones in rural southern alberta? i really hope so.

it is now suppertime. i will now go eat it. i am not hungry, but i will eat it. i'll eat it good. no time for proof reading.
