yeah, look at me, not blogging and all. been kinda busy. tons has happened, so let's pick up from where i left off.

saturday, one week ago, i had an interview with safeway. they hired me right there. that was great.

i started the next day. yay i get to bake again. well, not really. the place i worked at before has really easy bakery stuff. it's not even a real bakery. it's some frozen stuff you put in an oven. one person does it. at the place now, there's people in the back baking stuff, people in the front packaging stuff, labeling stuff, slicing bread, etc. i'm doing the latter, which is fine. it's the stuff i'd be more familiar with, really. it's easy, but hard because it's different. i can't really put my finger on it. it's something i need to get used to, that's all. i'm used to the other place still.

my sister and i went to klondike days monday afternoon. i got sunburned for the first time in a while. :( just my nose, though. my mom joined us in the evening and we all had a blast and stayed out really late.

burg and michelle arrived on tuesday and we went to west edmonton mall (my sister came along) and went to stores and the arcade for a bit. and, well, that's about it. i had a shift to work before we did that, too. and my sister was the only one who'd play ddr with me. >:P

wednesday, i was off to klondike days again, this time with burg and michelle and meghan. we met up with my stepsister and angela and her friend kelly (i'm pretty sure her name was kelly, anyway X_x). i'm really glad we met up with them, too, because, no offence guys, but burg and michelle and meghan and kelly were all chicken when it came to the fun rides. >_> angela and i would have been s.o.l. otherwise. yay for meghan for holding all my stuff on the many rides that turn you upside down. *_*!!! i lava j00!! *_* and yay for burg for playing ddr with me at k-days, too (after begging her). i lava j00 t00!!!!1 ;_;

i had another shift to work on tuesday, but after that burg and michelle and i went to the a taste of edmonton festival (where you get to eat food from dozens of places around edmonton *_*), which is always fun. on the way there we ran into mike, one of my old friends. *_* what are the odds? *_*!! he just had his ears pierced (at the top, i forget what that's called), and it was bleeding so badly. x_X his mom is a nurse, so i can't imagine what she's going to think of that. >D so, anyway, we had fun at taste of edmonton, then burg and michelle had to start getting back home, i guess. so then i waited around for my mom and sister to show up. when they did we all met up with my sister's stepbrother and stepmom (confused yet? >_>). we stayed there till, like, 9:00pm. they had a really interesting band playing, too. they were okay, i guess. they played everything from shakira to van halen to christina aguilera. o_o;

we didn't know what to do on friday, so my sister and i decided to go to west edmonton mall. :D we wandered around, went on some rides, played games at the arcade (again), and all that fun stuff. my sister spent so much money (on a pen and a keychain!!) at that sanrio store. x_X we got pictures of us on some rides there, too. :D aaaaaand, we played so much ddr my legs ached so badly. i kept setting myself to light mode, and my sister would choose songs that were super hard for me, but easy for her (she was on the lowest mode…what was that? standard?). namely aqua's cartoon heroes. -_-;;; and she'd choose the hard ones first and we failed a couple of times on the first song. x_x what a waste. x_x

anyway, that was fun. photos soon for all of this when i feel like resizing them. we played so much ddr. x_x;;; it kind of just happened. it's just so fun. my sister and i are, like, addicted or something. and we still suck. *_*;;; but that might change, because i went on ebay and got a playstation and two pads and konamix. >_>;;;;; the addiction is out of controllllll!!! but at least i got it for pretty cheap. *_*

as for today today, i had a shift at work. but not a real one. i got paid for sitting in a chair for four hours watching a computer screen tell me how to deal with customers and what to do with shoplifters and what not to pour down the sink, etc., etc., etc. it was so long, but it was the easiest money i've ever made. :D

we're going to the heritage festival in a few moments, too, with my mom and sister and one of my mom's friends from down south. but i love that festival. *_*!! i haven't gone in ages. *_*

and, wow, i didn't use the more feature. too bad. :D blah, they went to leave now, so i'll leave it to dg to proof-read this post. :D ta-ta. :D

i decided to randomly go to west ed this evening. of course i know that, like, everything is closed, but i don't care. :D i'm there right now on a computer in one of the arcades (and, omg, did you know that playdium shut down!? x_x) anyway, this is weird, i put a token in the computer and now i can play games or use the internet or whatever. @_@; how interesting.

i'm tempted to play ddr here, but i'm really bad at it and i hate making a fool of myself alone. :(

hmmm, maybe i should head home now. there's nothing to really do, and i just felt like being spontaneous.

but i have six minutes to kill on this computer. >:(

check it out. someone cosplayed as miboshi from fushigi yuugi. O_o i've never seen anyone cosplay that character before. that's really weird, but good for him. i've seen enough miakas and nurikos, thank you very much. -_-;;

ohohoh, judge judy is on, kley. i'm going to go watch it. >D yay for late-night court shows. >D

mom just left for down south to pick up sis and bring her back home. she won't be back until sunday. party at my place!! >:D

as for the whole job thing, i knew finding one wouldn't be too hard. i just needed to put a little effort into it. i wanted to give superstore priority since i've been working for the same company that owns superstore since november. i like them, and i wanted to keep working for them. i applied to work there as soon as i got here.

they never called. so i went out yesterday and applied at a ton more places. too bad for superstore. they could have had an employee that they barely needed to train. so i applied at tons of places, most of which relate to working in a deli or bakery (grocery stores, sandwich/wrap places, donut/coffee shops, pizza places, etc.).

i have an interview at safeway tomorrow morning and an interview with little caesars pizza on monday. safeway looks way more promising, but i'm really not looking forward to waking up at 5:00am to go bake. x_x;;; that was not fun, but i guess i can't really complain. and they're offering me more than what i was making at my last job, so i think i'll take that one. :(

i would have been so amused if badass jack's hired me. i felt good about applying there, and the (cute) girl there was pretty friendly and said that i should be hired. >_> oh well, too bad.

i think it was funny how kley on the phone last night was all like, "don't worry, you'll get a job soon :D!" and i have two interviews set up the next day. thank you kley; eye lurva j00 tonziez. ;_;

i hope nobody else was attached to the csi stars that were fired very recently (today?). read the story (from an australian news site).

note: for some reason the form in the first quiz result messes up the html in the second. i just got rid of the form and it fixed it. keep that in mind if you want to post your results. (more…)

i guess i'd better update a little bit. the first few days since i moved down have been quite boring, really. my fault, though, because i chose to just sit around the house and do nothing. i finally got off my butt yesterday and did stuff, though. i guess you could say i'm just getting comfortable, finally.

i applied for work at a nearby grocery store owned by the same company as the one i just left. i hope i get on there in the deli or bakery (i'm hoping for deli more, to be honest; i've just been doing bakery stuff way too much and i'm getting a tad sick of it).

then i walked to southgate mall and wandered around. then i caught a bus up to the university. i tried to find the university of lethbridge office (if there is one), but i was very unsuccessful. :( so i took the train downtown, renewed my edmonton public library membership, wandered around that mall (what's it called? edmonton centre? the one that's like four floors), took the long way back to the university on the train, went back to southgate, and walked home from there. fun day.

in other news, my body is rejecting this move like it's rejecting a faulty organ transplant. the day after i moved here i started getting a really sore throat and lots of flegm built up in the back of my throat (tmi! tmi! :D). i wasn't feeling sick, just my throat was bothering me. i'm guessing it's the pollution in the air, not that there's a whole lot in this city, really. i'm just not used to any. i live right by whitemud freeway. this isn't shocking. it's getting better, but there are lots of things that aren't. i've had one huge continuous headache that only goes away when i take two pills of ibuprofen every five hours or so. and now i'm starting to get a plugged up nose. not a runny nose, just a plugged up one. but i don't feel sick. i'm not getting cold-like symptoms all at once, which is weird. they seem to be coming one at a time. i'm so blaming the pollution. and then there's the sore muscles, mainly around my neck and shoulders. i don't know what's causing that. o_o anyway…

the day before yesterday my mom and i went to see fahrenheit 9/11. a-frickin'-mazing movie. of course. and it's funny because i read an article in the new republic that same morning about how bush wants pakistan to find bin laden before november. OR ELSE.

yesterday i opened up my first account at a video store (blockbuster, no less). i've always mooched off either my mom's or burg's account. >:D we rented the butterfly effect (which was a lot better than i expected); paycheque paycheck (haven't watched it yet); and x, volume one (yay for an anime section). i've been dying to see the tv series of x for years. it's the only thing by clamp i'll ever touch. i just finished watching it, too. i'm really liking it. it's like the movie, but a million times more in depth. seeing the movie, however, i guess i know how things turn out, don't i? that's what clamp gets for trying to make an entire manga series into a really compact movie. anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet, don't. see the tv series first.

my mom and i also went to the street performer's festival yesterday, too. fun festival, that is. and, hey, willow and burg, they had two "margarita village" stands. different name, same drink. i had raspberry. :9

i set up a photo album of sorts: precisely.org/album. i put all my random digicam photos up there so far as well as the ones from the festival last night. have fun.

which reminds me, anyone who wants to go to animethon with me this weekend, email me (or call me if you have my number). i might not be going on sunday, though. if i am going on sunday, it'll only be for a little while, so i might not go at all on that day. just so you know.
