i don't think bush is lying anymore. when he says the war on iraq was/is necessary, when he says that the thousands of lives lost in that war (and the continuing body count) was/is necessary, when he says that america was right and the u.n. was wrong, i believe he is telling the honest truth.

his truth. i believe that they're lies, but bush has been saying them so long that he actually believes them now along with all those states that i see coloured red.

i really can't stand his circular logic. he keeps saying that it's not fair to the troops to say that this is the wrong war at the wrong time at the wrong place, etc., etc., and he's getting offended every time kerry says precisely that. i'm really glad bush wasn't in charge of the vietnam war. where is the line? he will never admit that he was wrong because he truly believes he's right. under bush's logic he can send troops anywhere in the world to fight, and he can't say it's wrong for the sake of not telling the troops that their sacrifices have been in vain. so, in theory, every bush war has the potential to be right. he could send troops to kill and destroy every canadian and it'd be a worthy war worth fighting because he refuses to tell the troops it's not. o_O the act of sending troops into a country is justifying war to him…

and i just don't get it. all this talk of kerry's mixed messages is really hypocritical. bush doesn't have the mental capacity to even understand what kerry is trying to say. he's not agreeing with the methods used to remove saddam, he's not disagreeing with the actual removal of saddam. he believes, with the majority of the rest of the world, that more diplomacy and international support was needed. but we'll never know what could have happened. bush wants everyone to believe they'd be bombed or something if we would have left him alone or if we had continued diplomacy rather than invasion.

i need to stop watching this debate.
