see… since my internet came back… i've been playing lots of maplestory. those of you who play it should know by now that maplestory beta is semi-over. you have to redownload the new, official client. and it'll overwrite your beta client. only beta users can sign up for usernames at the moment though. i'm sure new signups will be open very, very soon though. the beta game will still work and will be used for testing purposes, so your beta characters technically aren't lost. i doubt they'll ever have an option to bring them over to the official game. so i started over. i like doing that. i managed to snag a few great character names on the day the official game opened up. :D my main character is "ferret"… so add me if you haven't. *_* he's an assassin in training. well… 75% more and he'll be an assassin. *_*; HASTE. YEAH!! anyway. >_>;;; i've been power leveling like crazy… they're offering double the experience points and better drop rates until wednesday (which is today technically!). i think it's supposed to be for the beta testers to help restart their characters. and, let me tell you, it's great. *_*;;; no panlid though. -_- not that i need it. hammy does though. :( poor hammy. just go buy one for cheap in perion. seriously, i'll bet they're so cheap right now. you're rich, hammy, after all. :(

okay, so now we're into my current stuff. this was yesterday: floating jr. neckis!! O_o later on i saw a bunch of floating stumps around ellinia… and watched them being positioned. @_@ definitely a hacker. i couldn't take a picture in time though.

then we got the BRILLIANT idea to go up to random people and make the angry face at them. i think we got lazy so we sat on a bench and made the face whenever someone walked by. >D
AREN'T WE DORKS!? hammy and i do just as stupid stuff. yesterday i was hanging on a rope and she made it look like she was trying to cut the top of the rope with her dagger (while smiling, of course). how amusing. >:P

work is changing so much. everythingggg. the way they're doing the shifts even. instead of closing the bakery at 7:00pm like we normally do, we're open till 10:00pm. X_X this is mostly because we used to be 99.9% self-serve. with all our new renovations we've got a lot of stuff that people have to ask for that are only accessible from behind the counter (and we have to pack it right there for them, not to mention). so yeah. crazy. i worked an eight hour shift today… starting at 1:30. X_x so i worked till 10:00. the cons outway the pros, i think…
with everything being changed around (and still being changed around somewhat)… i'm suffering from a slight loss of confidence in how i can do my job. you get to a point where you've worked at a place for a year and you know every little thing about it. i know that the code for whole wheat butter pan buns is 20319. the unsliced family-pack of whole wheat bread is 20334. commercial 8-pack hot dog and hamburger buns are on sale this week for 99 cents. our bagels come in frozen and we bake them. family packs of jumbo cookies have 8 m&m cookies, 4 chocolate chunk, and 4 oatmeal raisin. whole wheat hot dogs fit better in the 9-inch bag. don't ever put the pecan raisin fermented bread through the bread slicer. 60% whole wheat bread usually rises higher than 100%. things that cost extra on cakes: photo images ($7), figurine kits when ordering value half sheet cakes or 8-inch round cakes ($9), real whipping cream, more than one filling, and many other things people think up to bastardize our cakes. when a customer is within a comfortable conversational range, greet and smile at them when/if you make eye contact (and it has to be the first eye contact, not second or third… or none).
but. (and i finally make my point. aren't i funny? :D i'm in a "let's drone on forever mood" so there. >:P) despite all that that crap i have to know (and, believe me, that's just a very small fraction of the stuff i have to know) not knowing where everything is like a punch in the stomach. you just… don't know anything. i used to know things like… the garlic bread was on the fourth table up, on the right hand side, in between the sandwich bread and sub buns. now… i really couldn't tell you anything. fancy bread is kinda far up on the right side of the bakery. muffins too. buns across from them on the left side. cake donuts are over there somewhere too. raisin bread is also there for some reason. can't remember where the cookies are. yeah. and, of course, if i don't know where it is… every other customer wants to know where something is as well. and i'm like, "let's wander around aimlessly together, shall we? :D" -_- i hate it so much. it's like drowning. you know how to breathe, but you just can't. you remember what it was like to breathe when above water, but of course you can't do it underwater. -_-;
so aside from a lack of confidence in doing my job well, the super late hours, the general chaos of having stuff hanging from the roof, having to constantly sweep up pieces of drywall, and the customers complaining to me about the whole thing… at least i don't have to worry about working overtime anymore. :D that was the #1 thing that irritated me before the changes. i was lucky if i finished on time because there was just too much to do… and customers are really demanding in the 3-5 rush. sure, i have extra stuff to do at the end of my shift now (i basically do what the morning person used to do first thing). but still… if i don't do that… no big deal, the morning person can do it… >:D and it's totally dead at 9pm, let me tell you. well, there are customers… but the majority of them don't really need help with anything. so i can actually get lots of work done toward the end of the day. yay! :D
okay, enough about that. note to self: tell everyone some bad news in a later post. this post already has too much crap in it to post even more.
