This layout was made totally by me, but I obviously didn't draw the picture. That'd probably be Yazawa Ai, creator of NANA. Featured in this layout is none other than Osaki Nana herself. The image can be found in the NANA 1st Illustrations art book. The layout was made in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. The font is just Impact, which came with my computer. :P And, of course, this blog is powered by the omnipotent WordPress. <3 It is strongly recommended that you view this page in the latest version of FireFox. I use PNG-24 format, so if the image transparency looks all messed up, it's your own fault.

yet another post lost by accidentally pressing the back button. (there's one on this keyboard! i do not want a back button on a keyboard! i hate the back button!! stupid school keyboard.)

anyway, it was mostly just rambling about what i need to take next year. party's pretty much over when it comes to electives. i'll be on a strict biology/japanese/education diet for the next three years. :( with some other required courses thrown in there that are science-related. i'm supposed to take three to five classes in general sciences, pretty much (including biology, excluding my required courses). i'm taking one this semester: zoology 224. two more to go… hmmm… they'll probably be done at the UofA. i'm thinking an upper level biology course (a survey of mammals would be fun… but i don't know what courses there even are yet). i might do organic chemistry, if i get desperate (or if i have a slack semester and need a challenge). i want to do astronomy, but i don't know if macewan offers it. that may have to wait till UofA as well. if i like genetics (it was one of my favourite parts in high school, but you never know… i hated evolution back in HS, but now i love it) i might take an upper level genetics course. we'll see, we'll see.

my required courses are kind of funny. i have to take botany 205. i have no idea what that is. they're making me take genetics and ecology, which i can understand, but botany? sorry, but… plants are boring. >D if i have to be optimistic about it, i'd rather study plants than protists or fungi. especially protists. ugh. -_- prokaryotes are also pretty boring. except for the danger factor. >:D oopsies! dropped some e.coli on the floor! DISINFECT! DISINFECT!

bleh… they're making me take one or two physiology courses. i'm not too good with memorizing bones and muscles and crap like that. oh, who am i kidding, i am good with that stuff, but i hate doing it. >D i'm just too lazy. but bio 30 was pretty much human physiology, right? and i got honours, so… maybe it won't be so bad.

i'm hoping and praying that this school offers second year japanese courses next year. if you didn't know, macewan is the first alberta college that has been given degree-granting status (starting next fall they're offering BAs). hopefully, their language courses will be more advanced now that a lot of students will be taking humanities into their fourth year. i have a lot of requirements to meet since it's my minor, and i've only got the first two intro courses done (in lethbridge). so, yeah… i'm kind of eager to learn more japanese. >:O chikusho~

music time. :) a word on that: i'm rather shocked at how bold some of these students are. there's this one girl who is very vocal about how boring she thinks classical music is. personally, i love it. i love classical music. i don't listen to it every single day, but i love it, and appreciate it. i love playing it. i love writing it. people just don't get it because our idea of "music" is so removed from how music was back then. a piece we listened to last class almost brought me to tears (i think it was by schubert… or schumann… i'll look it up). i don't really know why. it's just moving. so i don't appreciate it when people treat "old" music as stupid and boring. -_-

oh yeah! i bought new gum! i forgot! mmm cuntymint.
