for my birthday, hopefully i'll get to bed eventually. as a special gift from the internet, i've found the rest of the missing chapters from cream lemon. *_* so i'll work on getting those properly into the database so we'll never lose them again. and so lbeth has definitive proof of her gay sex writing skills. ;D

i'm supposed to be getting up at about 9:00. my mom said she'd make me breakfast before work. *_* sucks how i have to work 11 to 7 though. -_- we'll do something after, but nothing spectacular. if it's clear out we might do the telescope thing.

so yeah, i better get on that cream lemon thing, ASAP. i'm getting pretty tired and the grep chat is starting to wind down. x_x

*edits* okay, the web archive site thing isn't working right now. we're getting a bad gateway error, so i'll just go to bed now and hope it fixes itself tomorrow. x_x

i borrowed a huge telescope from the physics department yesterday. it's way bigger than i expected. @_@ there were three separate pieces to it (tripod, telescope tube, and all the smaller parts such as the mount, eyepieces, counterweight, etc.) along with my backpack, i knew it was going to be impossible to transport all of that home in the bus. x_x so i spent the $20 and took a taxi. better safe than sorry, considering how much this telescope probably cost. @_@ it's not even the biggest telescope you can get out, either.

the forecast said it was going to be clear out last night, so that was perfect. the moon is still good to look at (the fuller/brighter it is, the higher chance you'll destroy your eyes… and you won't be any shadows on the moon, so the detail is lost with brightness). uranus and venus are visible at sunset for a short period of time, so i wasn't planning on trying to see them, but saturn is visible all night long (it goes over the horizon at about 8am), so i was going to try and see that. also, probably the andromeda galaxy. you can't really see it very well at the end of march/beginning of april, so i figured i might as well try to view it while i still could. my last resort, if i couldn't find something i listed above, would be the orion nebula. probably the easiest to find aside from the moon. the middle of the three "stars" in orion's sword. easy. :D

i set up the telescope in my room, familiarized myself with how everything put together and how the telescope functioned, then put everything away. my mom said she'd take me outside the city so we could see stuff really well. *_* last thing i wanted was to be in a really dark place in the middle of nowhere not knowing how to put this thing together. so that went well. i had everything planned out, where to find everything in the sky (where things were relative to constellations, but i even had the exact declination and right ascension), but then grey's anatomy came on. and of course my family had to watch that. and i knew CSI was going to be on after that. thursday is my early day where i have class at 8. i had a test in that lab, as well. and i was kept up by AIM freaks till past 2:00am. so i got, like, maybe four hours of sleep? (blame jason, he PMed me on grep and told me to log onto AIM! ALL HIS FAULT!! >D) so i decided to take a nap while the were watching grey's anatomy, i'd get up and watch CSI, then we'd go.

yeah, didn't happen. apparently my dear mother and sister tried waking me up for CSI but i was a grouch and wouldn't get up. @_@ i totally don't remember. i do remember getting up after CSI was over, telling everyone that i'm going to call it a night because i'm too tired, and going right back to bed. -_- so yeah, sucky.

i then proceeded to sleep for ten hours. @_@ i tried getting up at 8:00 this morning, but i was still tired, so i slept in another hour. that's so bizarre for me, but i guess i needed it. and here i am. :D the forecast says that there is a chance of flurries today and tonight, so i don't think i'll be able to go out tonight. -_- it says sunny all weekend, so i can only hope it'll be clear at night too. :( we'll just have to wait and see.

at least i managed to give custom icons to a bunch of my stuff on grep last night. i accomplished something! :D

i guess i should be a good little boy and blog, right?

okay, so jbeth set up a sims wordpress blog where we're all going to blog about our sims. *_* so if anyone else wants to sign up and blog about theirs, get in contact with jbeth. she might just let you sign up. ;D this might just be the last post i make on this blog about the sims, actually, depending on how successful the new blog is (and depending on how much i play the game, which hasn't been much lately).

okay, now that that's out of the way, i feel i must express how much karma owes me right now. i got on the bus after school to find a big, fat wallet sitting near the seat i was about to sit in. o_o it was really bulging (which is probably why it fell out of its owner's pocket). i immediately gave it to the bus driver without even opening it. i wasn't even tempted for a moment to open it and see what was in there. >_> i don't know how many times i've lost things (not just on the bus, recall that i lost my genetics textbook last week) and have never seen them again. because people in this world are idiots. afterwards, the fact that i didn't even think of opening the wallet made me think… why aren't there more people who would do the right thing? why must i be a god among insects? -_-

so i'm just waiting for a break. sometime soon would be great. i honestly don't know whether or not i believe in a thing called karma (i tell people i do because people who really, really believe in it like to talk about it a lot, apparently). i could sure use a little change right about now. the past couple months have been a real drag. december was practically hell on earth for me, what with me being busy with projects and exams (then missing a final exam). january hasn't exactly been sunshine and lollipops either, but it's better. aside from me being poorer than i've ever been before.

there was something else important i wanted to blog about, but i forgot what it was thanks to my little emo moment here. :( oh well…

my mom is making tacos. i haven't eaten a single thing all day. i could cry. ;_;

okay, so this is what happened. sometime after my EDIT lab (or during) i had a plastic bag from the college bookstore that i left sitting somewhere. in that bag was my brand-new-still-in-the-plastic-$150-textbook for my genetics class. oh, and a new binder that i bought so i can file my old notes nicely just as i did last semester. i keep hoping i left it in the computer lab and an instructor picked it up, but there's a good chance i left it somewhere that's unattended and unsupervised. i've done everything in my power to try and find it, but it's not going so well. still waiting to hear back from my instructor on whether he found something or not. so i'm probably going to have to dish out yet another $150 for that.

plus i still have to buy my EDIT textbook, which i was going to get used from this one girl. and she stopped answering my emails yesterday. so, uh, yeah. that's $100 for a new book. and i need it before the end of tomorrow because i have to do a quiz online by 9:00pm. -_-;

and i got my first cellphone bill, and it has all the setup fees and crap on it. it's pretty expensive. i really don't know how i'm going to pay for that. then there's my other bills, which usually amount to $400 or so. and i'm only working weekends now. i make very little. my credit cards are nearly maxed. my chequing account is running on fumes. and i have this savings account with about $500 just sitting there. and i swear, i will cry if i spend a single dollar from it.

i wish my mother and burg would pay me back already. i'm dying here. -_-

somehow i keep hoping things will work out. i think i'll do up my 2005 tax return ASAP without the stupid form the government is withholding from me and see how much i can get out of that, but it'll probably be too little too late. the form is for interest paid on student loans, and i paid $8000 worth of student loans in 2005. so that'd be a pretty huge part of my tax return, don't you think? -_- but i'm desperate, i guess.

anyway, yeah, fun! i'm trying stay positive, even though all this has happened, and i'm already swamped with stuff for school. i just wrote out a huge paragraph about what exactly i'm busy with right now, or will be soon, but i realize that's all i blog about these days and would make for a really boring read on an already annoying post.

in other news, i'm tired and upset and going to be very broke (like… seriously dangerously broke) and don't really want to talk about it at the moment. you know i will eventually though.

okay, so central control on grep is overflowing with a lot of things, and the only real stuff i'm interested in is the stuff about AX. so, uh, just a heads up to anyone who was thinking of going, hopefully some actual plans will start coming to fruition here in the next month or so.

no comment on cosplay as of yet. :P i'm just going to say that i'd much rather do a lot of things rather than MKR. i wasn't the one who came up with that MKR group cosplay idea, after all. :P i'd much rather do nana (or even sailor moon, for crying out loud… ANYTHING i even remotely find interesting i'm up for, which excludes MKR).

i'm rather amused that i have to still buy the textbook for my EDIT class, and i have a homework assignment due wednesday. i'll BS it, even though it's supposedly from chapter one of the book. it's worth nearly nil, and it's being graded as pass/fail. in other words, perfect assignment to BS on. >_> i won't have my text until wednesday an hour before class (assuming the girl who's selling me hers shows up, unlike today), and i'd rather not take the risk of leaving it to the last minute.

i've been an awful blogger, haven't i? i criticize people for blogging more than i have in the past month or so.

anyway, yeah, lots has happened, but i won't write about it in gruesome detail because you all know already, i think. oh, before i forget, happy new year. >_> my mom and i did oil and chocolate fondue, which as fun. :D and we had a lord of the rings marathon which i passively watched while chatting on AIM. there's been a grep chat pretty much every night for the past week. i'll bet there's one right now, but i'm not online to find out. i haven't really had a good night's sleep since those started back up.

so, yeah, our cohesion is back! :D yes, that would be grep. :D it truly was the glue that kept us together. this time around i'm helping jbeth out on the pluto team. funfun. *_* i'm a big fan of that detention button now. *strokes it* >D

what else… not really sure what to say. school started for me on the THIRD (how insane is that!?). -_- wasn't too happy about that. aside from going more broke that i've ever been before (thanks to tuition and books), my anime expo savings account survived unscathed, surprisingly. now to pay off the credit cards i've been using wayyyyy too much. x_x and get the $600-something back that i've lent out. -_- and do my tax returnS! yes, plural!! -_- the only reason i haven't done 2005's is because i'm still waiting on a government document (statement of interest paid on student loans) which they're being real cunts about. i really, really hate the canada student loan people, and i ought to give them a piece of my mind one of these days. they provide NO contact information on their website, not even a phone number. and i've filled out their pathetic online form several times with no reply whatsoever. so, yeah, i'm a little pissed here. i have all my other documents ready to go. -_- 2006's tax stuff is coming up really quick, i want to have this done and over with.

still a few stragglers for secret santa, just as there are every year. i'm one of them. X_x don't worry, those who haven't received anything yet. if you haven't received anything by february, then i'd worry.

i posted my classes that i'm taking, right? those who stalk my profile on facebook (haha, no one) should know i'm taking a computer teaching class, an astronomy class, a genetics class, and a japanese class. so far japanese is the most demanding. i had homework for today and there's kanji homework due for monday as well as a vocab quiz. the kanji homework always takes me forever, moreso than studying for kanji quizzes. give me an hour and i can memorize about 20 kanji. the kanji homework usually takes about two. :(

bleh, i work tomorrow. i can kiss my weekends goodbye, but i did it on purpose. i restricted my hours, starting january, to work weekends only. bad news is that means less money for me. it shouldn't interfere with AX (hopefully!) since i'll still have the same amount of money being transfered into my special account each week, but it might be tighter for me to pay bills, and such. especially now that i have a cellphone again. x_x

yeah, that's right. i got my mother a cellphone, too. we're under the same account, actually. it was her christmas present from me. she's never owned one before, can you believe it? o_o so, yeah, my number is on facebook. if you want it, check it out. if you want to burn some money calling me internationally, feel free! :D no guarantees text messaging will work either.
