okay, today is the best day ever. well, aside from me skipping EDIT this afternoon, and having to skip japanese as well. all because i had to record my japanese speech, and it took twice as long as i thought it would. x_x and i handed it in right after class as sensei was going to her office. but yeah, that's done. and so is everything else (except my EDIT online quiz which i'm going to do shortly). so in like 15 minutes everything will be DONE and i'll be FREE. *_* reading week, yay!

but yeah, i JUST found out that I GOT VACATION PAY! *_* i went to pay some bills online and i got a huge deposit from my work. *_* about $550 more than my normal paycheques. so yeah, i totally forgot that they do vacation pay in february! *_*!!!!!! i think i forgot about that last year too, but i love it! *_* i can't stop using this emoticon! *_*_*_*_*!!!!!!

i'm not going to be destitute after all. ;_; and california is sooooo happening! *_* i'm going to pay down a lot more of my credit cards balances next month, just in case. because they're still a lot higher than i like to have them, even if i wasn't planning on a big vacation in the summer. x_x i don't like four-digit debt (barring a car or house if/when i buy those).

next week is reading week, and i'm almost in tears over how badly i want it come. for those of you not from around here, reading week = spring break. except it's not spring. not even close. it's -35°C (-31°F) with the wind chill. i'm used to it, though, since it's been that cold for a couple weeks now. still sucks though.

i was going to tell my work that i'd be available all next week, but i decided against it. i need a break so badly. my mental health is more important than a little bit more money.

today i had a website due for my EDIT class, and i got frustrated with microsoft frontpage that i gave up and used notepad to write the html. -_- and then, of course, when i load it up in frontpage, the whole program flips out and rewrites everything. so i had to rebuild. -_- and of course i only started today, so it was kind of rushed. i was working on it during astronomy on the laptop right before my EDIT lab.

i'm going to keep a list of things i need to do, just so i don't forget them. being busy makes me forget things really easily, and it's gotten to the point where i'll forget that pressing snooze in the morning nine times will make me miss class for sure. -_- i really hate how absolutely irrational i am first thing in the morning. it's like… super-drunkenness x 10^1000000000.

• bio lecture: nothing
• astronomy: midterm, paper due

• japanese: kanji quiz, possible homework assigned in previous class, speech recorded on CD or cassette along with written copy and entry form filled out properly
• last possible minute to hand in astronomy paper if i can't get it in thursday

x_x i'm going to start working on my bio lab report now, which i haven't started (i've had over two weeks to do so). if it's as hard as people are saying, it's going to take more than a single night to complete. if i have time tonight i'll start japanese. x_x i know i'll have to study for my quiz in the morning, and possibly do the homework then as well.

i need to start a list of things i want to do over reading week.

i'm such an idiot for playing danpara for the past, like, four hours. and if there's a screenshot function, i wish i knew what it was. i've been pressing print screen, then pasting what i have copied into photoshop. since the game won't allow you to alt+tab (it'll close down if you try) it's pretty much one screenshot per play. i took one of that boys vs girls competition again, but what it looks like when the girls turn into penguins. >D i love it! i'm getting kind of good at blending in, actually, as long as i'm in a large group. once the group starts getting small, i usually say i have to go, and leave. x_x i just got out of some NPC room that i totally didn't understand. @_@ the one guy that was in there tried to explain it to me, and he was so sorry that he couldn't help me. ;_; yasashii nihonjin deshita. ;_; even though i fully understood the instructions he was giving, i couldn't seem to do it (i think there was something wrong with my game, since i was suddenly lagging a lot). still, he was like, "hontou ni gomen nasai!" x_x

ooh, paragraph break. just in time for me to go. x_x tomorrow's going to be a fun day at work. -_- and homework/studying afterwards. -_-;;; i probably won't be able to do any of the above without caffeine. hmm, maybe i'll take my backpack to work. -_-;;;;;;

okay, so the game i've suddenly become addicted to is audition online. maplestory players might notice that it's a nexon game, but it's not available yet. well, not by nexon america. i've been wanting to try it since nexon put that crazy little flash animation on the site where they'll have it available (even though it likes to crash my computer half the time). so it's been a while now. i couldn't wait any longer and i downloaded the japanese version. :) since i can play JMS, i figured i could play this. and i can! :D in japanese it's called dancing paradise, for some reason. o_O took me a while to learn how to do stuff, but sometimes i really amaze myself with my japanese skills. @_@ sometimes it's embarrassing, but sometimes it's amazing.

okay, so this game is kind of like DDR. you press arrows and there's dancing involved. except all you're doing is controlling a little 3D character who reacts to the commands. a ball moves across the screen and you have to key in the arrow commands and then hit your spacebar when the ball gets to the end of the bar. the arrows don't need to be hit on the beat, but the spacebar does. and there are a few other things which took me a while to figure out (the different modes, and what the red arrows mean), but it's really fun overall. i wish you could gain experience points playing alone, but it seems you have to be playing against at least one person to gain both exp and den (den is the currency @_@ you spend it all on appearance items).

earlier i was accused of not being japanese because i guess my conversation skills got a little awkward. >D when i said i was canadian they were like, "whow, you're able to play this there?" >D but just now i was able to pass off as japanese for a good hour. *_* it was a really talkative group, plus they used pretty simple language. i didn't have to say much since they were having a crazy conversation the whole time anyway. since we had three boys and three girls in our room, we were able to do couple dancing and then boys vs girls dancing (isn't it obvious which one is me?). *_* which was so fun! there's some sort of penalty chosen by a roulette at the end of that one, and the boys won the first couple times, and both times the girls appeared as penguins as their punishment. >D us boys were like "KAWAIIIIII!!!" and they got all mad saying they weren't very amused since it wasn't cute at all. >D i hope they release this game soon for english. *_* i'll be so pro by the time that happens. >D and you guys simply MUST come on and dance with me! *_*

i'll be surprised if i can pull this off, but i'm going to try summarizing everything i want to say in one sentence.

my mom and sister pampered me for my birthday, also giving me a very random gift: switching all our rooms around and making mine look very, very pretty. *_*

my EDIT presentation today had a few technical difficulties, which totally ruined my notes, so it crashed and burned just a little, but went off alright overall. x_x

i finished my japanese speech yesterday, handed it in, and received it back today with a lot of red marks on it. @_@

i still have a bunch of homework to do for next week, not to mention my japanese midterm on monday.

somehow i started playing a new video game which will take a lot longer than a single sentence to describe, so i'll be sure to talk about it in the future.
